Fly into Nyerere and settle into camp. Depending on arrival time, begin with an afternoon game drive or riverside experience.
DAY 02Nyerere River & Wildlife
Explore Nyerere by vehicle and, where included, experience the Rufiji system by boat. Look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birdlife.
DAY 03Full Day Nyerere
A full safari day allows time for game drives and water-based experiences according to the confirmed programme.
DAY 04Nyerere Wilderness
Continue exploring the park at an unhurried pace. The day can be shaped around wildlife movement, photography or a suitable walking experience.
DAY 05Nyerere → Ruaha
Fly onward to Ruaha. The landscape changes dramatically as the drier southern wilderness opens around the Great Ruaha River.
DAY 06Full Day Ruaha
Explore river corridors, open country and baobab landscapes, with opportunities for elephants, buffalo, predators and kudu.
DAY 07Full Day Ruaha
Continue following wildlife movement with your guide, keeping the day flexible around the conditions and photography opportunities.
DAY 08Ruaha Wilderness
A deeper day in the park, with game drives and, where authorised and arranged, a walking experience.
DAY 09Final Ruaha Day
Use the final full day for a relaxed wilderness safari, revisiting productive areas or exploring a different landscape.

Enjoy a final morning drive before your onward flight. Zanzibar can be added as a separate coastal chapter.
