5-DAY MASTER ITINERARY

Serengeti & Ngorongoro.

A compact private safari built around two of Northern Tanzania's defining destinations, with a full Serengeti day and a dedicated Ngorongoro crater safari.

DAY 01Arusha → Karatu
Leave Arusha after breakfast and travel toward the Ngorongoro highlands. Depending on your timing, the afternoon can be relaxed at your lodge or used for a suitable local or cultural experience. Overnight around Karatu.
DAY 02Karatu → Serengeti
Continue toward Serengeti with the landscape opening into the plains. Enter the park and begin game viewing en route to your camp. The exact route and camp location can be selected around your travel dates and preferred Serengeti sector.
DAY 03Full Day Serengeti
Spend a full day on safari without a major transfer. Follow wildlife movement with your guide, exploring plains, kopjes and predator areas. If your dates coincide with the Great Migration, the itinerary can be positioned toward the relevant seasonal area.
DAY 04Serengeti → Ngorongoro
Enjoy a final morning game drive before travelling toward the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive at your lodge and settle in for the evening, ready for the crater safari the following morning.
DAY 05Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive across the crater floor. After the safari, ascend and continue to Arusha for your onward journey. An onward flight or Zanzibar extension can be arranged around the final logistics.
For the strongest Serengeti experience, the final sector should be chosen according to your travel dates, wildlife priorities and accommodation availability.

Five days creates a focused journey around the two destinations. It is particularly suitable for travellers who want to prioritise Serengeti and Ngorongoro rather than covering the wider Northern Circuit.
Can we spend more time in Serengeti?+
Yes. If Serengeti is your main priority, the route can be rebalanced by extending the Serengeti stay and reducing the time around the first or final overnight.
Which Serengeti area should we use?+
That depends on your travel dates and interests. The Serengeti is a year-round wildlife destination, while migration movements change through the seasons. The final sector should therefore be selected when the trip is planned.
Can this be a luxury private safari?+
Yes. The route can be quoted with luxury lodges, private camps or other premium accommodation according to availability.
Can I add Zanzibar?+
Yes. Zanzibar can be added after the safari as a separate beach extension, subject to your flight schedule and available time.
